Zia is the AI built into Zoho's apps. Most small businesses on Zoho already have some of it and do not use it. Here is what it can do, and what needs to be true for it to help.
Sales: know who to call next
Zia can score leads and deals, suggest the best time to contact someone, flag unusual drops in activity, and read incoming emails for sentiment so urgent messages surface first.
Writing: drafts and summaries in seconds
Zia's generative features can draft emails and replies, change their tone, and summarise long threads, records and tickets. Zoho also lets you connect OpenAI with your own API key.
Support: faster, calmer ticket handling
In Zoho Desk, Zia can tag and route tickets, detect frustrated customers, suggest replies from your knowledge base and summarise long ticket histories.
Analytics: ask questions in plain English
In Zoho Analytics you can ask a question and get a chart back, or describe a calculation and let Zia write the formula.
AI agents: work that runs itself
Zoho's newer Zia Agents, and the no-code Agent Studio, can take actions across Zoho apps within rules you set. Availability depends on your plan and some features are still rolling out.
What needs to be in place first
- The right edition. Many predictive features need higher Zoho editions. Check yours before you plan around them.
- Clean data. Predictions learn from your history. Duplicates and empty fields make them worse.
- Enough history. Scoring improves with more past deals and tickets. If you are new to Zoho, start with AI drafting and automation, which help from day one.
We set up and tune Zia as a service. See Zia AI for business for everything we can switch on.
